Provide high-quality instruction to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher and adapt instruction as needed to meet student needs.
Maintain a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment aligned with district and school expectations.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, as daily assignments may vary by grade level, content area, or building location.
Be willing and able to work throughout the district, as assignments may require placement in different schools or classrooms.
Establish rapport quickly with students and staff to ensure smooth transitions and productive learning environments.
Manage classroom behavior effectively using school-wide expectations and restorative practices.
Communicate relevant information regarding student progress, behavior, and completed work to the regular classroom teacher.
Support differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, English learners, and other specialized supports.
Follow all district policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and support staff as needed.
Attend and actively participate in all required staff meetings, professional development sessions, institute days, and Parent-Teacher conferences.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the building principal or district administration.
